Electric contact gauges, incorporate a mechanical magnetic snap-action contact mechanism into an analog pressure indicator. They generate electric ON & OFF signals at the present value of the measurement. It is used to energize an alarm or may directly control the process by cycling pumps, shifting valves, etc.
